(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a male with impaired driving.
On Wednesday July 6, 2016 at approximately 3:15 p.m, police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 17, Longbow Lake area.
A short time later, police located the vehicle on Highway 17 near Hilly Lake Road. Police conducted a vehicle stop and determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. The male was transported to detachment for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, 37 year old Gregory BOMBAY of Wauzhushk Onigum (Rat Portage First Nation) has been charged with Driving while Ability Impaired, Driving a Motor Vehicle with more than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood and Fail to Comply with Undertaking, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He is to appear in bail court today to answer to the charges.
