(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau-Kenora Drug Unit (OCEB) and Kenora Drug Enforcement Unit have charged a Kenora man following a vehicle stop on Highway 17 west on Sunday February 28, 2016. At approximately 3:00 a.m, police stopped the vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation.
Upon further investigation, the male driver was arrested for drug offences. Police located approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine (crystal meth) as well as drug paraphernalia. The street value of the drugs is approximately $3, 000.
As a result of this investigation, 34 year old Christopher BOUCHER of Kenora has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.
He is to appear in Kenora Court on April 28, 2016 to answer to the charge.
