PUBLIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(RED LAKE, ON) – Officers of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an adult female driver with impaired driving.

On February 28, 2016 at 1:50 p.m. Red Lake OPP received a complaint of an impaired driver in Balmertown. Officers located the 2006 Kia and driver. Following an investigation, officers determined the female driver was impaired.

Sara PUTNEY, age 40, of Red Lake, Ontario, is charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Millilitres of Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

PUTNEY was released on a Promise to Appear in Red Lake Court, March 31, 2016. The vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 7 days and she was issued a mandatory drivers licence suspension.
