(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On June 11, 2016 at approximately 9:54 am, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Kings Highway 11, in the Township of Emo, ON.
After speaking with the driver, determined the driver had been drinking. The driver, Jason McCULLIGH, age 33 of Sudbury, On failed the roadside test, and was subsequently arrested. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days. The driver was transported to Fort Frances Detachment and subsequently charged with Driving with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests as well as Driving under Suspension.
He will appear in Fort Frances Court on July 18, 2016 to answer to the charge.
Also on the 11 of June 2016 at 6:45 pm, Ministry of Natural Resources Conservation Officers contacted police with an impaired boater on Rainy Lake. The driver of the vessel, Joseph Jacob ARNOLD, age 56 of International Falls, Minnesota was arrested at the scene and transported to the Fort Frances Detachment and subsequently charged with Operating Vessel while Impaired by Alcohol, Operating Vessel with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 millilitres of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests.
He will appear in Fort Frances Court on July 11, 2016 to answer to the charge.
